Hot stamping

Hot stamping can be used to achieve a high (metallic) gloss print. It is widely used for printing gold or silver. This technology can also be used to produce so-called blind printing or hologram printing. The disadvantage is the inability to combine colors and their limited range compared to other printing technologies.

At Tiskárna Jelínek company we have 5 hot stamping machines. Our technology allows printing both “on the pad”, i.e. printing flat or slightly curved surfaces, and rotary printing. For example, strips of lids for cosmetic cups.

Our technological park also includes a machine that allows printing by roller, which allows us to print by hot stamping areas that cannot be printed by other techniques. Such as an indicator of the opening of the ski passage in the back seats of your car.

Materials that can be printed

We print on plastics, leather, paper, wood with hot stamping. The transfer of the printing material takes place using high temperature and the foil is sealed into the object. Therefore, the technology is not, with exceptions, suitable for metals or glass. It is also very difficult to print products that cannot withstand higher pressure with the technology.

What is hot stamping and how does it work

When printing with hot stamping, we actually seal a special foil into the object with a die in the shape of the print, which is heated to a high temperature. In the case of blind printing, the printing is done without foil and the motif is actually burned into the object.

Reference

The core of our production is industrial printing. We print everything from functional parts of various machines to packaging products. However, we also print all kinds of promotional items.
